Helping Hand Bags - Ending 8 Dec 18

IMG 2619The Rotary Club of The Ponds are now collecting pre-loved handbags for their very successful project we call Rotary's Helping Hand Bags.

This involves collecting pre-loved handbags that are then filled with items of use to at risk or homeless women.

Our dynamic Community Service Director Zoe, coordinated with the community and our members and last year the club collected over 400 of those bags, which was an amazing effort.

We were able to source the contents for the bags from donations from corporate busineses as well as RAWCS and the Salvation Army and many many wonderful people donating items. We thank everyone in the community who helped us with this project.

Each of our bags contained the following essentials:

  • Full packet of Pad or tampons
  • Toothbrush/Paste
  • Bar of Soap
  • Chapstick
  • Deodorant
  • A luxury item

We fill the bag with handcream, cleansers/moisturiser, tissues, shampoo/conditioner and other wonderful and essential products!
